About
Einweg Erfahrungen was a photo project with the team of Werkstatt für kreative Unruhe/ Kreativ AG and a group of children who arrived to Kiel as refugees.
We spent time together, playing, gardening, learning about photography. We made a Camera Obscura, learned how a camera works. During the project the children received a disposable (einweg) camera and a question coming along with it “Can you please show me what makes you happy, what’s important for you?”
Project participants were part of a larger group of kids and youth who came to the space of Werkstatt für kreative Unruhe for care and creative activities. The photos the children have made are not sensational, neither they are photographic masterpieces, nor do they talk about the horrors of their journey to get here. They are something that accompanies all that. They are real, mundane, daily life moments.
The photos that we selected together with the kids where exhibited at the Anschapark Kiel and at the Kiel City Library. We have agreed that no photos of children themselves would appear on the internet, therefore here you can see only a few ones that have no faces in them.
